Dear Friends of Nancy Forrester’s Secret Garden,
We are very pleased to invite you to the Annual Gala Fundraiser and Environmental Film to benefit
the Mana Project, Inc., the Secret Garden’s non-profit educational, environmental and *rts
organization. The proceeds of the evening will go toward expanding Mana’s environmental programs
and for the preservation and enhancement of the existing rainforest in Nancy Forrester’s Garden.
Hosted by the Tropic Cinema, this evening of Wednesday, March 28 will present the Exclusive Pre-
Release Screening of Manufactured Landscapes which presents the camera work of celebrated
Canadian photographer Edward Burtynsky. The aesthetic, social and spiritual dimensions of
industrialization and globalization are explored in this film. This prize-winning film comes directly from
the National Gallery of Art where it was shown on March 17 as a part of the prestigious National
Capital’s Environmental Film Festival in Washington, DC. Not due to be released in theatres until
June 28, this showing gives Key West a true sneak-preview.
We would like to give you, members and non-members of Mana Project, this opportunity to become a
sponsor for this THIRD annual environmental film. Your sponsorship helps amplify the credibility of
environmental issues here in Key West, to preserve the last wooded acre in Old Town Key West, and
to preserve the natural setting where people can meet, network in our community, and encourage us
all to act locally and globally.
For your convenience, I have attached a sponsorship form to this letter. Please join me and other
civic leaders in sponsoring this truly unique and fun filled event.
Sincerely,
Katharina Arnhold,
Executive Director
